  • 21 million vehicles produced: Total Honda and Acura vehicles made in America since 1982.
  • 33 years: The Marysville, Ohio Auto Plant is Honda's longest operating U.S. plant and was the first in the U.S. from a Japanese automaker. One of the most integrated auto plants in America, it houses stamping, welding, paint, plastic injection molding, and assembly under one roof.

Aircraft

Honda has received environmentally-friendly building certifications from LEED, Energy Star, and Green Globes. Honda now has 11 LEED-certified green buildings in the U.S. including the American Honda Data Center in Longmont, Colorado.

Manufacturing

Honda U.S. manufacturing operations began in Ohio and have grown to include 11 state-of-the-art plants in six states.

Nationwide Dealer Network

American Honda auto, powersports, and power equipment dealers are located in all 50 states and create 153,000 jobs.

Parts Centers

The Honda parts center in Portland, Oregon is one of 12 part centers across the nation.

Power Equipment

The North Carolina plant manufactures power equipment products that are powered exclusively by four-stroke engines for better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The engines are also sold to other manufacturers to power their products.

R&D

Honda has 14 U.S. R&D centers, more than any international automaker. In three California centers, associates conduct product and advanced design, market and technology research, and information technology research and development.

Safety

Honda R&D safety research activities in Raymond, Ohio, play a critical role in enhancing the safety of Honda and Acura products and the advancement of Honda's “Safety for Everyone” philosophy.

U.S. Suppliers

557 U.S. companies supply Honda manufacturing operations with parts and materials. Honda has suppliers in 34 states, including 121 supplier locations in Michigan. Most of our suppliers are concentrated in the Midwest and South near our manufacturing facilities.
