Honda Announces 'Leading Mobility Innovation' as Theme for 2015 SAE World Congress
"Leading Mobility Innovation" will serve as the theme for the 2015 SAE World Congress, it was announced today by Honda, which will serve as the host company for the 2015 SAE World Congress, to be held April 21-23, 2015 at Cobo Center in Detroit. Continental Corporation will be Honda's Tier One Strategic Partner for the 2015 World Congress.
The SAE World Congress annually attracts more than 10,000 engineers from around the world, with more than 1,000 technical papers presented by leading engineers representing various automakers, supplier companies, the academic community and others from around the industry.
"The theme for the 2015 SAE World Congress is Leading Mobility Innovation,something we believe will communicate that the automotive engineering community and SAE are leading the way to the future of mobility with a spirit of innovation," said Erik Berkman, executive vice president of Honda North America, Inc. and the General Chair for the 2015 World Congress. "To the SAE community of engineers, the theme is a call to arms to truly create mobility for the future through innovative technologies."
Honda also served as the host company for the 2009 SAE World Congress. As the 2015 host, Honda will look to highlight a number of pinnacle technological achievements, including the launch of the HondaJet light jet, the introduction of the next generation Acura NSX supercar and a next-generation Honda fuel cell electric vehicle, as well as the return by Honda as an engine supplier to Formula One racing.
