Honda Rearview Report: December 06 - December 12, 2014
"Earlier this year, we were pleased to recognize Rossi Honda in Vineland, New Jersey, for becoming the nation's very first "electric grid neutral" dealer, producing as much, or more power on-site from renewables than is consumed from the local utility. This is a pinnacle example of the effort being made by many Honda and Acura dealers to reduce their environmental footprint through the Environmental Leadership Program we established roughly three years ago.
Since the launch of the program, we've learned a great many things about the opportunities and challenges of helping dealers to adopt more environmentally sound business practices that also contribute to their bottom line. And now we're sharing what we've learned with the public release of the Honda "Green Dealer" Guide.
The Guide offers detailed recommendations on how auto dealerships – or any business – can cost-effectively reduce their energy and water use.
We hope that the Guide will help lead more dealerships and other businesses with similar energy-intensive operations to adopt more energy-efficient business practices. If more dealerships apply the principals we're sharing in the "Green Dealer" Guide, and work toward a cleaner and more sustainable future, they'll soon realize that "green" business is good business."
