"We had a great time introducing the all-new, 5th-generation Honda 2017 CR-V in Detroit this week. This new CR-V raises the bar in every imaginable way — with bold new styling, a more premium and refined interior, the model's first-ever turbocharged engine for increased performance and fuel economy and a host of new features and technologies. We believe it will enable CR-V to continue as America's best-selling SUV – something it has achieved over the past 20 years.
With customer demand for light trucks at an all-time high, we're preparing to meet customer demand by fully leveraging our North American production network. For instance, three Honda plants in North America — in East Liberty, Ohio, in Alliston, Ontario, Canada and, for the first time in Greensburg, Indiana – will produce the new 2017 CR-V. And we have made other moves in this region to increase the supply of our other popular SUVs and CUVs – the Honda Pilot and HR-V.
We look forward to the arrival of the new 2017 Honda CR-V in dealer showrooms later this fall as we continue the unprecedented cadence of new Honda products coming to market."
