Honda Statement on the Passage of the CHIPS and Science Act

Honda applauds the passage of federal legislation to boost domestic semiconductor chip production. The CHIPS and Science Act funding is a welcome effort to reinvigorate semiconductor production in America and ease unprecedented supply chain challenges caused by global chip shortages.
Semiconductor chips are critical components in many of the products made in our 12 manufacturing facilities in America, particularly automobiles. We support efforts to expand domestic capacity to ensure a robust, reliable supply of chips so that Honda's 20,000 American manufacturing associates can continue building high-quality products for our customers.
