Associates Donate Winter Clothes to Local Charity
Honda R&D Americas Inc. in Ohio recently completed a clothing drive to benefit The Clothes Closet, a nonprofit organization which provides clothes and winter coats to people in need. Honda associates filled six furniture boxes full of items over a period of two weeks and delivered the clothing items on Feb. 6.
“We really wanted to do something to support our local community,” said Samantha Lynch, Honda R&D Americas, Inc. “There are many people who don’t even have the basic necessities, like warm clothes. Many of our associates even made hats, scarves and gloves from scratch to support the clothing drive.”
Clothes Closet was established in the early 1990’s, and provides clothing, shoes, bedding, and small household items to persons in need, regardless of income or situation.
The clothing drive is an annual event for Honda R&D.
