January 4, 2017 – Connecting and building a strong relationship within the community is an integral part of Honda’s mission to be company society wants to exist. That’s why Honda executives know the importance that community service brings to enhance the company’s profile, and at the same time, enables leaders to share their entrepreneurial skills that can benefit charitable organizations.
Susie Rossick, assistant vice president of regional media and marketing for American Honda Motor Co., started working in the Motorcycle Division more than 30 years ago. Through Honda’s long-time sponsorship of Ride for Kids supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Rossick volunteered to help with the ride and brought along her family.
She did not know until 10 years later the impact that PBTF would have personally when her son, Alex, was diagnosed with brain cancer. PBTF provided her family support as her son survived cancer treatment. Today, Rossick is one of the PBTF Board of Directors helping to eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors.
