Honda Rearview Report: May 14 - May 27, 2016
May 27, 2016
"We're days away from the 100th running of the Indy 500 — truly the greatest spectacle in racing — and we couldn't be more thrilled to have Honda-powered James Hinchcliffe on the pole and eight of the top 12 starters for Sunday's race. Honda's qualifying results are a reflection of the tremendous hard work and commitment by everyone at Honda Performance Development and our Honda-powered racing partners to make this an exciting and highly competitive event.
We're equally proud that Honda has been associated with the Indy 500 and America's premier open-wheel racing series for 23 years, including six years as its sole engine supplier. Moreover, Honda is the winningest automaker in the Indy 500 since we joined the series in 1994. The racing spirit of Honda is very much alive and well at Indy!
As we close on the green flag, I want to offer my sincerest wishes for a fun, exciting and safe race for all of the teams and fans. We're proud to continue playing a part in making this the greatest spectacle in racing."
